With the other advanced features of this model you can, follow prompts on the digital message screen, switch between espresso or coffee options instantly, change coffee temperature, use pre-ground coffee in addition to whole coffee beans, adjust the built-in coffee grinder for fine tuning your espresso/coffee, view messages in multiple languages, program the energy saving mode and timer, adjust the water hardness setting, and more.     Advanced Patented AromaSwirl Brewing System
    The AromaSwirl System yields maximum flavor and aroma from the brewing process. This special system combines freshly ground coffee with water that is at the ideal temperature in a pressurized brewing system. The result is coffee and espresso that has been brewed under perfect conditions.

    Automatic Espresso and Coffee Brewing Easy to Operate
    To brew coffee you simply dial in the coffee drink you want and using the other dial you select how strong your coffee selection will be. There are two control knobs and one coffee brew button to master in order to make coffee drinks. This machine allows you to choose the volume, strength, and temperature of your coffee by simply making selections on the control panel. Then it cleans up and is ready for the next order, in less than 30 seconds.

    Built In Half Gallon Water Tank
    The water reservoir can easily be refilled while it is still on the machine or by removing it with the easy-grip handle and filling it at the kitchen tap. The reservoir is made of smoke color ABS plastic so checking the water level is a breeze. When the water runs low, the digital display will remind you when to refill it.

    Coffee Bean Storage Hopper and Internal Dump Box
    The built in lidded coffee been hopper can hold up to half pound of fresh coffee bean. When the coffee grounds are spent, the machine delivers them to the internal dump box, which can hold up to 15 expended coffee portions.

    Stainless Steel Boiler
    The stainless steel boiler features a 1300 watt stainless steel lined thermoblock boiler. Using stainless steel improves coffee flavor and greatly increases the life span of the boiler.

    Adjustable Beverage Dispensing Nozzle
    This coffee dispensing nozzle moves up or down to accept cup sizes up to 4.25 inches high.

    Heated Cup Stacking Surface
    Located on the top of this machine is a heated surface made of non-stick metal that allows you to stack up those espresso cups and keep them toasty.

    Cleaning and Maintenance of Components
    By descaling your machine every two-three months, your machine will last for many trouble-free years. The machine will tell you when its time to activate the self-clean system by displaying a message on the information screen. After adding the cleaner, just press the clean button. The machine will take it from there. Descaling and general cleaning is important even if you have a sophisticated water filter system, and especially if you use well water. Used coffee grounds are collected in the grounds dump box, which can hold up to 15 spent portions of coffee before emptying is required, and a message will appear on screen to let you know it needs to be emptied. Waste water left over from the rinsing cycles is stored in removable drip tray that simply pulls out from the machine and reinsert is seconds. All components such as the used coffee grounds container, drip tray, and water tank can be hand washed with regular soap and water. Bosch espresso machine cleaner can be purchased from Bosch or by calling the support number in your user guide.
